What does the Secret Once-In-A-Lifetime Adventure actually entail?
I'm so excited writing this and I'm only sharing a few bits.
Bike-Touring, Mountaineering, Volcanos, Lakes, Ancient Pyramids, Colonial Towns and Beaches.
The expedition is a biking-mountaineering expedition which will include climbing Pico de Orizaba, which is not only the highest mountain in Mexico, but at a height of 5,636 Meters (18,491 Feet), it is the 3rd highest peak in North America and 1,215 Meters (3,986 Feet) higher than Mt. Whitney, which is the highest mountain in the continental USA.
We will have a couple mountain guides support us on the climb(s) as needed (details will emerge as the team forms and we know everyones abilities). Gear can be rented at Pico de Orizaba.
Can You Guarantee My Safety?
We take safety very seriously. You are applying to come on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. This is NOT a once in a lifetime trip or vacation.
Things can go wrong. Bikes/equipment will break. There is a possibility that someone may get hurt or worse. Although we anticipate everyone completing the expedition safely, anything is possible. We are going to a foreign country for the adventure-of-a-lifetime! Still in?
Long answer short and very clear - "We cannot 100% Guarantee Your Safety".
If you prefer something that is 100% safe, you're not ready for an expedition. You should sign up for other trips or build confidence through outdoor activities until you are ready to apply in the future. Maybe next year?

What does "Once-In-A-Lifetime Expedition" actually mean?
This is a brand new expedition and will only be offered once! Ever! The first, last and only time you can join this adventure is this ONE TIME ONLY in 2026!
There is NO, "Maybe next time" - There will NOT be a next time!
This adventure is very unique and extremely exclusive. Those who apply and are selected to the Expedition Team will have the experience of a lifetime. Memories that will last for generations.
Can Anyone Join the Once-In-A-Lifetime Expedition?
Everyone can apply for the expedition, but we cannot bring everyone for various reasons! Teams are going to be small and very exclusive - single digits for number of adventurers selected. You will potentially meet your newest best friends in the world!
Every expedition has it's own minimum requirements followed by a video interview with Mark. This is extremely important for a few reasons:

3. Minimum fitness/skills to move as a team

IMPORTANT FOR ALL APPLICANTS - We have lots of time to improve fitness/skills - Your energy and personality is crucial to the team vibe and is more essential than fitness/skills during application.
Who will Guide/Lead this Expedition?
Mark Sky will be your Lead Guide for the entire length of the expedition.
Mark will have an assistant guide. This person will be a friend of mine and I know his personality very well. He is extremely fit, fluent in Spanish and has over 20 years experience as an adventure guide!

The expedition timeline will be adjusted in the near future but it will be approximately 10 day minimum to 18 days maximum.
